Mastering esthetics using smile design concepts & application
Course Overview:
The course aims to help every dentist improve his/her skills & join the digital esthetic dentistry world in a simplified yet inclusive course.
Objectives:
- Learn how to create a photographic portfolio for esthetic analysis and treatment planning.
- Explore through “smile design” as a concept, principles, analysis & applications.
- Recognize the difference between conventional versus digital workflow for esthetic planning.
- Learn the different production methods of the smile design & how to convert a design to a motivational or functional mock-up.
- Learn about the virtual 3D patient concept.
- Apply basic training of 3D smile design using exocad software.
Outcome:
During the two-day workshop, each attendee will be able to:
- Perform a smile analysis & interactive planning for different esthetic rehabilitation cases.
- Attend live demonstration showing step by step 3D smile design using exocad smile creator.
- Attend demonstration on the workflow of an esthetic rehabilitation case from scanning, analysis, smile design to 3d printing and mockup fabrication.
- Establish a plan for a demo esthetic rehabilitation case and perform a 3D smile design using the exocad software.
Course Content:
- Three theoretical lectures
- Hands on sheets
- Hands on interactive planning of different cases
- Four live demonstrations (scanning, 3d smile design, 3d printing, mockup)
- Training on the software with one-to-one support
