In a step towards bridging the bed-bench gap in liver cancer research, the School of Medicine research team headed by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Ihab has been awarded an EGP 1.5 Million grant for two years.
The project of Dr. Nada El-Ekiaby, Health Sciences Research Division at the School of Medicine, is exploring the role of the non-coding transcriptome in the pathogenesis of liver cancer and was given a priority for funding by the Science and Technology Development Fund (STDF). The outstanding undergraduate students will have the opportunity to contribute to the research work and publications.
It is worth mentioning that this is the third research grant to be awarded to our research team.
