Newgiza University (NGU), under the leadership of Professor Dr. Ahmed Sameh Farid, President of the University, has announced its inclusion in the Times Higher Education (THE) global university rankings. This milestone reflects the University’s steady progress since its establishment and its commitment to delivering world-class education and research in line with the highest international standards.
The achievement underscores NGU’s growing presence on the global academic stage and highlights the success of its vision to provide a comprehensive educational experience that combines academic excellence, innovation, and international partnerships.
According to the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2026, NGU achieved notable recognition across several of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The University was ranked in the 401–600 band globally in the overall Impact Rankings. It also placed 92nd worldwide for Good Health and Wellbeing (SDG 3), ranked in the 101–200 band for Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8), and in the 201–300 band for Partnership for the Goals (SDG 17). In addition, NGU was ranked in the 401–600 band for Gender Equality (SDG 5) and in the 801–1000 band for Quality Education (SDG 4).
Established in 2016, Newgiza University comprises schools of Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Engineering, Information Technology, Business and Finance, Economics and Political Science, and Arts and Design. The University also maintains strategic international academic partnerships with leading institutions, including University College London (UCL) and the Milano Fashion Institute.
