Newgiza University (NGU) hosts a delegation from King’s College London (KCL)

Newgiza University (NGU), headed by Prof. Dr. Ahmed Sameh Farid, President of NGU, hosted a delegation from its academic partner, King’s College London (KCL), the 37th ranked university worldwide and the 7th ranked in the UK.

The delegation included faculty members from the School of Politics and Economics at King’s College London (KCL), headed by Prof. Jeremy Jennings, Professor of Political Theory, in addition to Dr. Colin Jennings, Professor of Political Economy, as well as other KCL faculty members and KCL Senior Project Officer.

The visit took place over the course of three days, during which the King’s College London (KCL) team held several meetings, including a meeting with Prof. Dr. Lamis Ragab, Vice President of Newgiza University (NGU), and Dr. Hala Sakr, Dean of the School of Economics and Politics, in addition to other meetings with NGU faculty members to discuss the existing educational programs and ways to enhance the joint cooperation, scientific research, academic training as well as the cultural exchange between the two universities.

The delegation also met with NGU students to assess their work level and listen to their opinions and suggestions. Moreover, the visit included several seminars held by King’s College London (KCL) faculty members for NGU students and staff. Additionally, the students performed a European simulation activity on the last day of the visit.

Prof. Jeremy Jennings, Professor of Political Theory, expressed his happiness and pride as Newgiza University (NGU) is getting ready to graduate the first batch of the School of Economics and Politics students, in collaboration with King’s College London (KCL). He also expressed his admiration for the academic level that NGU students have reached.

Dr. Colin Jennings praised the quality and the wide range of modules offered in the NGU Program of Economics and Politics, and how contemporary and up to date these modules are. He was also very impressed with the academic level of NGU students and the huge expertise of NGU faculty members.
