The School of Economics and Politics (SOEP) students conducted a field visit to Alashanek Ya Balady (AYB), an NGO located in Ain El-Sira known for its grassroots development work in underprivileged communities.
During the visit, students engaged with AYB’s staff and beneficiaries through interviews and guided observations. They gained insights into the NGO’s mission, funding sources and day-to-day operations.
Students were also introduced to the institutional and legal aspects of the NGO registration process in Egypt, providing a practical perspective on state-civil society relations that could inspire their future involvement in similar initiatives.
