Workshop “Prescribing Skills Assessment (PSA)”

The Awareness and Training Committee organized a workshop titled “Prescribing Skills Assessment (PSA)” on Monday, October 06, 2025.

The workshop was presented by A/Prof. Rania Salama (Clinical Pharmacy Department).

Salama’s insights into the prescribing process were invaluable, particularly for pharmacy students preparing to enter the healthcare field. The session highlighted the critical role pharmacists play in patient care and the importance of developing strong prescribing skills.

The session also explored the nuances of safe and effective medication management, emphasizing its essential role in the training of future pharmacists. This workshop not only enhanced participants’ knowledge but also reinforced the commitment to equipping students with the necessary skills to excel in their careers.

The session was attended by 6 SOP academic leaders, 12 staff, and 12 TAs.
