Newgiza University’s (NGU) top achieving graduates were honored by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on “Egypt’s Universities Excellence Day”; an event that was held for the first time to honor the top achieving graduates of universities in Egypt and took place at the Suez Canal Authority Stadium in Ismailia Governorate.
The celebration was witnessed by Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Egypt’s Prime Minister, Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of Higher Education & Scientific Research, Dr. Reda Hegazy, Minister of Education & Technical Education, in addition to several ministers, universities’ presidents, and student unions presidents.
Prof. Dr. Ahmed Sameh Farid, NGU President, attended the celebration and was keen to share this memorable and exceptional occasion with the NGU graduates who were honored for their academic excellence. These graduates are Ahmed Amr El Metwally, from the School of Medicine, Aya Kamal Abdallah, from the School of Dentistry, Yara Ahmed Abdel Fattah Zaki, from the School of Pharmacy, and Malak Tarek Ezzat, from the School of Economics & Politics.
Prof. Dr. Farid highlighted that he strongly believes in the crucial role that the young generation has in building a brighter future for their country, and therefore it is necessary to empower them with cutting-edge knowledge, skills, and tools to qualify them to have such an impact. He added that Newgiza University (NGU) strives to provide its students with world-class academic and non-academic experiences to develop them into competent, well-rounded graduates who are capable of positively shaping the world around them.
NGU School of Economics & Politics graduate, Malak Ezzat, expressed her enthusiasm to be honored in this prestigious event. She explained “It was an honor to receive such recognition from the President of Egypt. I truly felt that all the hard work and dedication that I have put into my studies have paid off, and I am so excited and eager to start my career journey now.”
The celebration included a discussion session, followed by the graduates’ march, then President El-Sisi honored the top achievers from various universities and specializations, and ended with a memorial photo of the honored graduates with the President.
